A native of Texas, Misslette The Singing Cowgirl has been performing professionally since the late 1960's. Adamant about keeping her music pure and unadulterated, she performs only with live musicians; no canned music for this traditionalist. She has performed in a wide variety of musical formats ranging from solo, duo, trio, seven-piece dance band, to a twenty-piece orchestra. Her versatile musical styles include Swing, Jazz, Pop, Blues, Bluegrass, and her specialty ... the ever-popular Western Music depicting the cowboy’s life on the trail (and the Silver Screen). And yes, she yodels !
Misslette loves the Western Music classics, recently adding some beautiful Spanish songs to her extensive repertoire of over 1,000 songs, tying in our traditional Texas heritage. Her fourth CD contains songs in Spanish along with popular songs sharing a common theme of love between cowboys and senoritas.
Misslette The Singing Cowgirl is also adept at reciting Cowboy Poetry, her own and that of others. One of her poems has been recently published by HorseTalk Magazine, 7/03. Whether it’s listening to her beautiful voice, highly accomplished guitar playing, harmonica licks, or cowboy poetry reciting, audiences everywhere enjoy and appreciate the talents of this vivacious Texan . . . Misslette The Singing Cowgirl - Songbird of the Sage!
